Waiting

We had our last regularly scheduled check up this morning.  I had made a little progress and am now 75% effaced and 1.5 cm dilated.  Owen's official due date is Monday the 8th.  The Dr. went ahead and scheduled another office visit for Wednesday if he hasn't made an appearance by then. He also said that he would want to induce labor sometime next weekend if I still haven't had him.

It was good news to hear that I'm making progress, but was a little disappointing to hear that the Dr. wanted to induce me so soon.  I know that it will be very difficult to have a medication free childbirth if I'm induced.

Today I feel tired and a little crummy (I have a sore throat) and just ready for the process to be over.  Please pray that God would grant me energy and a positive attitude.  That I would enjoy the last few days with Eric and take time to relax and do things I won't be able to do for a few months...or years :)  Pray that my sore throat would heal - I do not want to get my little boy sick in his first few hours on earth and for a healthy (and hopefully natural) labor and delivery for both of us.

Thanks for everyone's support over the past few months - I know the journey is just beginning!
