Owen Lars Oslund is 8 days old! The first week has passed in a blur. My parents were here until Tuesday morning and they were amazing! It was so nice to not worry about cooking meals, cleaning the house or taking care of the dogs. All we had to do was focus on Owen and we got lots of support from grandma and papa there too :)
Here are some facts about Owen:
- He's a great eater - ready to go every 2 or 3 hours. This makes for a full day without time for much else. He's already well on his way to regaining his birth weight!
- He's also a great pooper :) He's blesses us with a dirty diaper at every feeding and a few in between.
- He's peed on himself 3 times and his daddy once - that was a funny experience at 3 in the morning. He also HATES getting his diaper changed - it's pretty much a two person job.
- He sleeps in our bed. I promised myself I wouldn't let this happen, but if it means more sleep you'll be surprised at what you let slide.
- He gets hiccups all the time - usually after eating, but he's pretty calm about them
- He's discovering he likes his swing and bouncy seat.
- He's not a fan of the carseat, but once in does great in the car and on walks.
- No matter how tired his daddy and I are - we love him beyond words!
He's precious! Enjoy every moment!

ReplyDeleteI can't help but repeat myself--he is a beautiful baby!!! I know your mom and daddy hated to leave, but what a blessing for them, and you, to be there to "bond". I'd love to see Rusty holding his little grandie!
