So Eric and I had a very productive weekend. We cleaned the house, did all the laundry, raked leaves in the yard and put together some patio furniture, put together a bed in the guest bedroom, bathed all three dogs and put some finishing touches on Owen's room. Needless to say I was sore and tired this morning, but it feels good to be "ready" for our little boy to come.
This week will be my last week full time at the office. If he doesn't get here before next week I'm going to be working from home and only coming up half a day for meetings (It's just getting too uncomfortable to be sitting at my desk all day).
We're really hoping he decides to make an appearance this weekend. Feb 27th is my Mom's birthday and she would love a grandson as a present. My sister and brother are also free this weekend and so could come down and see him. I doubt he'll cooperate, but it doesn't hurt to pray :)
Here is a pic of Owen from last night. I keep getting bigger - and he keeps getting lower. He should just come out and meet his family!
I love the nursery it totally matches ya'll! I wish I could've come to the shower, but we had a church youth retreat [I'm a leader] that weekend. You are going to make great parents and we are so excited for ya'll!
ReplyDeleteYou're too cute Allison! Can't wait for baby Owen to make an appearance so we can all see him. And trust me... he will be beautiful and precious at first, but he will just keep getting CUTER and CUTER and you will love being a mom more and more every day :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks guys! We can't wait to meet the little guy. I have to confess that Eric had to comfort me a little last night. I seem to be fluctuating between excited to see him (and not being pregnant any more) and very overwhelmed about how our life is about to change. I know God's timing is perfect and he'll give us the ability to be the best parents we can.
